Buck, Clyde & The Red Hat Lie |
Lyrics"Buck, Clyde & The Red Hat Lie"By Yves Stilmant © 2025 Verse 1a Well Buck said, "Clyde, this here's the year, We'll get free gas and a case of beer!" He wore three flags and one on his boots, Tattooin' Trump's face on his dog named Duke. Verse 1b Clyde had a sticker on his bass boat stern: "Build the wall and let it burn!" He's drunk off cough syrup and Mountain Dew, Yellin', "That there man gonna fix me too!" Chorus They said, "This president's gonna save our butts, Pay off my cousin and fix my truck. He's got a plan from the Lord above, To make my ex-wife fall back in love." But the fridge is broke, and so's their spine-- Still hollerin' "Drain the swamp!" from inside the brine. Yeah, Buck and Clyde believe the lie... Red hats on and brains on standby. Verse 2a Buck built a bunker from beer can walls, Thought JFK Jr. would take his calls. Clyde tried to vote three times last May-- At the Waffle House, the church, and Chick-fil-A. Verse 2b They think windmills cause your hair to shed, And liberals hide in the garden shed. They both got banned from Bass Pro twice, For screamin', "It's a deep state sacrifice!" Chorus They said, "This president's gonna bring us gold, Fix my gout and make me swole. He'll outlaw taxes, legalize fried spam, And buy us a jet ski for our duck jam." But they're broke as a stump and half as wise, Shootin' fireworks at the moon at night. Yeah, Buck and Clyde believe the lie... Still think the swamp's where truth resides. Bridge They say, "We're patriots with tactical spoons!" Watchin' YouTube preachers under seven moons. Got a flag in one hand, a beer in the other-- "Praise the Prez!" (while fistfightin' their brother). Final Chorus (Double) They said, "This president's gonna save our souls, Turn our trailers into Trump Towers of gold. He'll cure my rash, fix my Wi-Fi, And make beer rain from the fourth of July!" But Clyde got stuck in his lawn chair high, And Buck lit his boots tryin' to deep-fry pie. Yeah, they're drunk and loud and mystified... But them red hats shine with American pride. Yeah, Buck and Clyde, they ride or die... For the great red hat... and one big lie. |
